ArtReach was born from a desire to make the arts accessible to those who might otherwise never have the opportunity. Many organizations and groups in our community would love to offer arts programs, but the cost of supplies, materials, or qualified instructors makes it out of reach. ArtReach fills that gap. Through this longstanding program, we bring the arts directly to places where resources are limited, as well as to groups who may have the means but lack in-house instructors or materials. By meeting these needs, ArtReach ensures that creativity can thrive well beyond our walls.

Over the years, word of mouth has carried ArtReach into many corners of the Permian Basin, reaching individuals and groups who might not otherwise experience the arts. Those we’ve had the privilege of serving include The Aphasia Center, YMCA Active Seniors Program, Midland County Public Library, Casa de Amigos, Reflections Ministries, COM Aquatics, Gifts of Hope, Culver Detention Center, Manor Park, Brown-Dorsey Historic Home, multiple church groups, Big Brothers Big Sisters — and many more.

We are deeply grateful to the Arts Council of Midland and Betenbough Homes for providing grant support for ArtReach. However, because this program is so central to who we are, its impact often exceeds what grant funds alone can cover. That’s why proceeds from events like our silent auctions at the Arts of the Heart Sales — along with donations from supporters like you — are vital. Your generosity ensures we can continue saying “yes” to the many ArtReach opportunities that arise throughout the year.
Donations to the Palette Club help keep programs like our ArtReach thriving and accessible to the community. Your support makes all the difference—please consider donating today.
